Discover the ancient art of haiku
& the modern juxtaposition of words
This is a lovely book. From the discerning eye rendered at the tip of the pen are poems that grace us with sensitivity and insight.
Bowman and Canino provide a haiku journey rich in visual-textual allure.

Enjoy Haiku! Free Introductory Classes
This introductory talk is the first in a series of four classes designed to help you understand and enjoy haiku. We look at central themes in haiku through the poems of the early Japanese masters including Basho, Buson, Chiyo-ni and Issa. In each 20 - 30 minute session we explore how haiku reflects the times of the author as well a timelessness that speaks across the ages. While new concepts are introduced in each class four basic themes are explored in depth throughout the talks including the contemplative practice in haiku and the role of the seasons, poetics and human nature.
